Favourite Growing Conditions
Enjoys a sunny postion but will also do well in partial shade. Perfers rich moist alkaline soil.
How to Prepare the Soil
The soil should be a rich fertile loam with a pH greater than 7.
Sow seeds in succession from early spring to early summer. Germination of seeds takes 4-7 days.
Keep plants well watered in dry weather to prevent the plant from bolting.
Continually take the green leaves as the plant grows and snip out the edible flowers to keep the leaves lush.
Let the plant go to seed and collect for next years crop.
